After years of public rivalry that kept Ghana’s entertainment space talking, comic actors Agya Koo and Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin have seemingly made peace.
The two actors were recently spotted together on a movie set, marking a reunion that is already attracting attention from fans of Ghanaian cinema.
Agya Koo revealed the development in a social media post in response to fans who asked of the possibility of appearing in a movie alongside LilWin.
The veteran actor said he had always responded to those questions with a reference to Isaiah 60:22, suggesting that the collaboration would happen at the right time.
According to him, that time has finally arrived.
“Ghanaians have been asking me, ‘Kofi, when are you coming out with a new movie with Kwadwo Nkansah?’ I always told them: Isaiah 60:22. And the time is now. I’m on set with my bro. Expect nothing but the best,” he wrote.
LilWin also used the occasion to celebrate Agya Koo, describing him as a legend who deserves to be honoured.
The actor further questioned why Ghanaian audiences sometimes give greater recognition to Nigerian actors while overlooking the contributions of Ghanaian stars who have built the country’s film industry.
He called for greater support and appreciation for local actors and filmmakers, stressing the need for Ghanaians to celebrate their own talents with the same enthusiasm shown towards stars from other countries.
It is for this reason he tasked his director to involve Agya Koo in their upcoming project.
“I asked my director to call Agya Koo because if I had called him myself, he might have said he wouldn’t charge me. I’m proud to be in the same movie with our legend.”
For fans who have followed their rivalry over the years, the sight of Agya Koo and LilWin working side by side is likely to be just as intriguing as the movie itself.
