While the world’s attention is fixed on football in the United States, the Administrator of the Ghana Sports Fund is ensuring Ghana’s sporting future also takes centre stage.
Rather than limiting his visit to supporting the Black Stars, Dr. David Kofi Wuaku is engaging corporate leaders, development partners, sports enthusiasts and members of the Ghanaian diaspora with a clear message: Ghana’s sports sector deserves global investment.
He is encouraging companies, foundations and individuals to contribute to the Ghana Sports Fund, describing it as an opportunity to become partners in developing the next generation of African sporting icons.
According to him, sustainable investment is essential if Ghana is to compete consistently on the global stage.
He said the Fund seeks not only to finance elite sports but also grassroots talent development, youth empowerment, infrastructure and athlete welfare.
Dr. Wuaku stressed that President John Dramani Mahama’s vision for the Ghana Sports Fund is to create a transparent and sustainable financing model capable of transforming sports into a powerful engine of national development.
He expressed confidence that international partnerships would accelerate that vision while positioning Ghana as a leader in sports development across Africa.
