Football fans thronged Electroland on Ring Road in Accra on Saturday, June 27, as Adom FM and Asempa FM hosted a lively watch party for Ghana’s decisive Group L clash against Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The venue came alive long before kickoff, with supporters dressed in Ghana’s national colours chanting, singing and cheering on the Black Stars throughout the highly anticipated encounter.

Fans watched every moment with excitement as Ghana matched Croatia in an intense contest.

However, the Black Stars suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat, with Nikola Vlašić heading home a late winner to deny Ghana a top-two finish in the group.

Despite the loss in Philadelphia, The Black Stars of Ghana will face Colombia in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Beyond the football, the event offered an engaging experience for supporters through interactive games and quizzes centred on the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Winners walked away with prizes and branded souvenirs, adding to the excitement of the occasion.

The watch party created a carnival-like atmosphere, bringing together football enthusiasts from different walks of life to celebrate and support the Black Stars on their World Cup journey, despite the narrow defeat.

Adomonline’s photojournalist Joseph Odotei was present to capture key moments from the watch party.
