A Christian-based group, Love Ghana Festival, has outlined plans to host business owners in the Ashanti Region to foster stronger collaboration and partnerships among them.
According to the group, building unity among business owners can help strengthen partnerships and create wealth.
Palau Africa Festival Director, Bishop David Chigamba, said there is a need to remind business owners of their role in the national economy.
“We want to host business owners, men and women, at a hotel. The goal is to get them to partner and coordinate as businesspeople,” he said.
The Ashanti Region is largely dominated by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that drive the local economy.
Despite the adoption of modern business practices in some areas, many operators still rely on traditional methods.
Love Ghana Festival believes the proposed engagement will expose businesses to modern approaches through experience sharing.
As part of its broader programme, the group will also run a two-day evangelism initiative in Kumasi.
Evangelist Andrew Palau will lead a team of evangelists to spread the gospel across the region.
Ahead of the main crusade, several activities have been lined up to create wider social impact.
Beyond the business-focused engagement, programmes have been planned for youth, schools, and prisons.
For the youth, a musical concert will bring young people in Kumasi together for fellowship and entertainment.
Participants will also take part in activities such as cycling, football competitions, and other games, with the gospel shared during these events.
Children within the Kumasi Metropolis will also benefit from dedicated sessions featuring games and learning activities.
Plans are also in place to reach prisons with the gospel message, along with the donation of relief items to support inmates.
The group has additionally invited optometrists from abroad to work with local professionals to provide free eye care services to residents.
The Evangelist Andrew Palau crusade is scheduled for October 24 and 25.
