A firefighter at the scene told Graphic Online that operators of the depot from which the product was loaded had been called to provide an empty truck to facilitate the offloading of the gas and clear the road for safe use.
Meanwhile, some drivers told Graphic Online that the affected section of the Tema Harbour road has long been plagued by deep potholes and uneven surfaces, posing a significant danger to both heavy-duty trucks and smaller vehicles.
A trotro driver, Moses Gyamfi, expressed concern about the poor state of the road and called on the relevant authorities to undertake urgent repairs to prevent similar accidents in the future.
