Veteran Ghanaian music producer and sound engineer, George Bennisah, popularly known as Cash Two, has passed away.

The news of his death has sparked an outpouring of grief across Ghana’s music industry, with musicians, producers and fans paying tribute to a man whose influence helped shape the sound of several generations of Ghanaian music.

Cash Two began his career as a sound engineer for renowned hiplife artiste Tinny and gradually established himself as one of the industry’s most respected producers.

Over the years, he became known for crafting beats across multiple genres, including Hiplife and Highlife, earning a reputation for his creativity and versatility behind the console.

His production credits spanned some of Ghana’s biggest music stars, including Castro, Shatta Wale, Samini, 4X4, Double, Akoo Nana, Guru Eno Barony, among many others. He also worked with several emerging talents, helping to nurture and shape the careers of younger artistes.

Widely regarded as one of the industry’s unsung heroes, Cash Two played a significant role in the evolution of Ghanaian music, collaborating with many of the country’s pioneering acts.
