Hajia Adama Musah, mother of former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, has been laid to rest.
Her final resting place was the Madina Muslim Cemetery in Accra following her Janaza prayers on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
The burial, which took place after prayers at the Police Mosque in Cantonments at 10:00 a.m., drew family members, religious leaders, political figures, and sympathisers who gathered to support Dr. Abdul-Hamid and his family in their moment of grief.
The late Hajia Musah, described as a devoted mother, aunt and grandmother, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, after a short illness. Her death coincided with Dr. Abdul-Hamid’s 55th birthday.
Speaking after the burial, Dr. Abdul-Hamid expressed gratitude to Allah for the life of his mother, noting the importance of acceptance and patience in times of loss.
“Only Allah does this. The good thing however is that, He does not burden a soul with more than it can bear. In all things, I am grateful to Allah. There are mothers who died and there were no sons to bid them farewell. “Which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?” Therefore, in all things, give thanks.”
Prominent personalities, including former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and NPP national chairmanship hopeful John Boadu, were among those who paid their respects during the burial proceedings.
