Fire destroys Honda Civic at Kwamoso-Duasin

A Honda Civic saloon car was extensively damaged after it caught fire at Kwamoso-Duasin in the Eastern Region on the night of June 4, 2026.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), a distress call was received at about 10:40 p.m., prompting a swift response from personnel at the Koforidua Municipal Fire Station.

In a statement issued by the Public Relations Office of the GNFS Eastern Regional Command, a seven-member firefighting crew, led by Assistant Divisional Officer II (ADO II) Awuku, was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found the Honda Civic with registration number GW 2669-17 fully engulfed in flames.

The crew quickly brought the fire under control and successfully extinguished it within minutes, preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby properties.

Although the vehicle was extensively damaged, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.

The Ghana National Fire Service has commenced investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
