The Black Maidens of Ghana have left Accra for Monrovia, Liberia, ahead of the second leg of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Liberia.
The team travelled on Tuesday aboard an ASKY Airlines flight as preparations intensify for the decisive return fixture, with qualification firmly in sight after a dominant first-leg display.
A delegation made up of 24 players, 14 officials, and two members of the management team made the trip as Ghana looks to complete the job and advance to the next round.
The Maidens head into the second leg with a commanding advantage following an emphatic 6-0 victory in the first meeting at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result that has put them in a strong position in the tie.
The technical team is expected to fine-tune final preparations in Monrovia as the squad seeks to maintain its impressive form and secure progression in the qualifying campaign.
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers remain a key pathway for the Black Maidens as they continue their pursuit of another appearance on the global stage.
