The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is set to begin a multi-constituency thank-you tour of the Upper East Region following a revised and approved itinerary released by the party’s regional secretariat.
The tour, scheduled for April 27 and 28, 2026, will see the Chairman engage a broad cross-section of party stakeholders, including Members of Parliament, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), constituency and regional executives, former appointees, clergy, traditional authorities, and opinion leaders.
According to the itinerary, the tour will commence on Monday, April 27, in the Talensi Constituency from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The Chairman will then proceed to Nabdam from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by Bongo from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and Bolgatanga East from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
On Tuesday, April 28, the Chairman is expected to continue the tour in Bolgatanga Central from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, before moving to Builsa North from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, and concluding the regional engagements in Builsa South from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
The party has directed constituency executive committees to determine suitable venues for the engagements, with a preference for large halls to accommodate participants.
The thank-you tour forms part of efforts by the NDC leadership to engage grassroots supporters and stakeholders following recent political activities, while reinforcing party unity and strengthening its structures at the regional level.
The Chairman is expected to depart the region for Yagaba-Kubori after the engagements.
