A section of scaffolding at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, collapsed onto several parked vehicles on Sunday, April 26, 2026, following heavy rain and strong winds that swept through parts of Accra.

A video shared on Facebook by Accra-based Channel One TV from the scene showed debris from an ongoing renovation project scattered across multiple vehicles, with some appearing badly damaged.

Authorities have since cordoned off the area as they assess the situation and work to secure the site.

It is not clear whether anyone was injured in the incident, while the hospital management is yet to officially speak on it.
