Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North and Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament’s Energy Committee, Collins Adomako-Mensah, has disclosed that former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is actively engaging key stakeholders within the New Patriotic Party as part of efforts to rebuild unity ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Speaking on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, he noted that Dr. Bawumia is currently in Ghana and has begun a series of consultations with influential figures in the party.

According to him, the engagements form part of a broader strategy aimed at restructuring the party and fostering a united front for the next election cycle.

He revealed that some of the individuals engaged include Kennedy Agyapong, Kwabena Agyapong, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum and Bryan Acheampong, among others.

“Dr. Bawumia is engaging key stakeholders behind the scenes, and it shows that efforts are being made to build unity for 2028,” he stated.

Collins Adomako-Mensah explained that the meetings are private and intentionally kept out of the public eye as part of a strategic engagement process.

He emphasized that these behind-the-scenes efforts demonstrate that party leaders are actively working to strengthen unity, contrary to claims that the party is divided.
