Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has extended support to inmates at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison through a donation and outreach visit.
The musician, known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, was joined by his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla, and members of the Livingstone Foundation. The visit formed part of efforts to support inmate welfare and rehabilitation.

Items donated included toiletries, bottled water, bags of rice, gari and assorted drinks.
The team was received by the Officer-in-Charge and Eastern Regional Commander of the facility, Patrick Thomas Seidu, who briefed them on the operations of the prison, including inmate population and ongoing rehabilitation programmes.

During the visit, Stonebwoy and his team toured sections of the facility, where they were introduced to the prison’s education system, vocational training initiatives and collaborations aimed at preparing inmates for reintegration into society.
The artiste also interacted with inmates and treated them to brief musical performances, creating an atmosphere of excitement and encouragement.

Speaking during the visit, he expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with inmates, noting that the experience had deepened his understanding of incarceration and the importance of supporting rehabilitation efforts.

He further pledged to make such visits an annual initiative to motivate and uplift inmates.
On behalf of the Director-General of Prisons, DDP Patrick Thomas Seidu expressed gratitude to the artiste and his team for their support and encouragement to inmates.
