Ghanaian forward Prince Adu delivered a standout performance as Viktoria Plzeň secured a hard-fought 0–0 draw against league leaders Slavia Prague.

Making his first start since early March, the 22-year-old striker showed renewed sharpness and intent, emerging as one of Plzeň’s most dangerous attacking threats.

Adu’s performance marked a significant turnaround following a difficult outing in the team’s previous defeat to Zlín.

Head coach Martin Hyský was full of praise for the Ghanaian, highlighting both his quality and growing influence on the team.

“We all know what he is capable of. He’s a game-changing player who can rise to big occasions,” Hyský said after the match.

“He was one of our most dangerous players today. It’s just unfortunate he couldn’t convert his chance after a great individual run.”

Adu’s resurgence has been linked to his recent involvement with the Ghana national team during the international break, where he started in two friendly matches. According to Hyský, that experience has had a visible impact.

“After returning, I saw a different player,” he noted. “He has a big ambition—to represent Ghana at the World Cup. If he continues like this, he will be very important for us in the rest of the season.”

While Adu led the attacking charge, Viktoria Plzeň’s defensive unit also played a crucial role in securing the point, successfully containing Slavia’s offense in a disciplined display.

The result keeps Plzeň competitive as the season progresses, but the spotlight firmly remains on Adu, whose performance signals a promising return to form at a critical stage of the campaign.
