The Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has received condolences from the Vice President of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and senior members of the National Democratic Congress following the passing of his father, Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo.
The Vice President led a delegation to his residence to commiserate with the former National Chairman of the NDC, offering words of comfort and solidarity during what has been described as a difficult period for the family.

In a message shared after the visit, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that the presence of the Vice President and her delegation brought significant comfort to the family.

He also received a separate delegation led by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, which included former Attorney-General Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, who also visited to offer condolences.

A book of condolence has been opened at the Spintex residence of Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo for members of the public and party faithful to pay their respects.

The late Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo passed away peacefully in the early hours of Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 93.
