Ghana’s U-15 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, have successfully defended their title at the CAF African Schools Football Championship, edging past Burkina Faso in a dramatic final decided by penalties.

After a tense and closely fought contest ended goalless in regulation time, neither side was able to break the deadlock, forcing the match into a shootout.

From the spot, the young Ghanaians showed remarkable composure, eventually sealing a thrilling 10-9 victory to retain their crown.

The triumph marks back-to-back titles for the Black Damsels, further cementing their dominance at the continental schools level.

Their campaign was defined by discipline, resilience, and maturity beyond their years—qualities that proved crucial in the high-pressure moments of the final.

For their achievement, the Black Damsels will take home a prize of $300,000, while Burkina Faso, as runners-up, earn $200,000.
