Director of Legal and Constitutional Affairs for the United Party, Andrew Appiah Danquah, has stated that President John Dramani Mahama has demonstrated stronger economic management compared to the previous administration led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on JoyNews’ AM Show, he argued that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), having governed for eight years, has an established track record and should not present arguments in opposition that contradict its actions while in power.
According to him, while governance comes with challenges, recent measures such as the suspension of some fuel taxes reflect a more responsive and pragmatic approach under the current administration.
He added that beyond isolated policies, President Mahama has shown a better grasp of managing the country’s economic system.
Andrew Appiah Danquah maintained that his assessment is based on observable outcomes, insisting that Mahama’s handling of the economy surpasses that of the NPP during its time in office.
“Mahama has proven that he is a better manager of the economy than the NPP under Nana Addo’s administration, and that is established,” he said.
