Popular Ghanaian comedian and actor Dr. Likee has shared insights into his work ethic and his passion for mentoring young talents in the creative industry.
Speaking on DayBreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he revealed that whenever he is not on set shooting skits, he spends his time indoors learning and planning future scripts.
According to him, continuous learning and preparation are key to staying relevant and producing quality content.
Beyond his personal development, Dr. Likee said he actively supports young and talented skit makers who are performing well but lack visibility.
“Whenever I’m not shooting, I’m learning and planning, and I also reach out to young talents to encourage them because sometimes all they need is confidence,” he added.
He explained that he often reaches out to such individuals to affirm their talent, which he believes boosts their confidence. He noted that many talented individuals struggle with self-belief, and recognition from established figures can motivate them to push harder.
On his motivation for helping others, Dr. Likee said his generosity did not start after fame, revealing that even before entering the acting industry, he was already supporting between 30 and 50 people.
He emphasized that his passion for helping others comes naturally, especially when he identifies genuine talent. He added that he does not expect gratitude in return but is pleased that those he has supported continue to show him respect.
