Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Policy Adviser for Political Affairs at the Office of the Vice President, has announced the peaceful passing of his father, Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo.
The late Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo passed away in the early hours of Sunday, 5th April 2026. He was widely respected for his dignity, wisdom, and quiet strength, and remembered for his integrity, humility, and steadfast commitment to family and community.
In a statement, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo described his father as a guiding force whose values profoundly shaped the lives of his children and all who knew him.
“May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace,” he said.
