Ghanaian musician Camidoh has opened up about the challenges of building genuine friendships within the music industry, describing it as a space where trust is often difficult to find.
Speaking on DayBreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the “Sugarcane” hitmaker revealed that he has experienced several instances where people he considered friends betrayed his trust.
According to him, many individuals in the industry are not sincere and often present different personalities depending on the situation.
He explained that in some cases, private conversations shared with supposed friends end up being discussed with others, sometimes in ways that misrepresent him or make him look bad.
Camidoh noted that such experiences have occurred multiple times, making it difficult for him to fully trust people within the industry.
He advised that, in many situations, it is safer to keep personal matters private or confide in trusted family members rather than industry colleagues.
While acknowledging that there are still a few people he trusts, he stressed that genuine friendships are rare in the industry.
