Vendors who travelled from various parts of the country to take part in this year’s Kwahu Easter Festival in the Eastern Region have reported disappointing sales compared to previous years.

Despite the area being filled with thousands of revellers, businesses within the hospitality sector—including food vendors, clothing sellers, and entertainment providers—say they are experiencing mixed results rather than the expected surge in patronage.

At Mpraeso, widely regarded as the hub of the Kwahu Easter celebrations, many traders expressed concern over the situation.

According to them, visitors are spending more cautiously, while the rising cost of goods and transportation is making it difficult to attract customers.

Some clothing dealers and local food vendors indicated that their overall revenue has fallen below expectations.

However, many remain hopeful that sales will improve as more visitors arrive before the festival comes to a close.
