The Gifty Anti Foundation has commissioned a mechanised borehole and a 10,000-litre capacity water tank for residents of Akwamu Adumasa in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region.

The project, which cost about GH¢65,000, is aimed at improving access to clean water, particularly for school children in the community who rely on limited boreholes.

Founder Gifty Anti said the initiative forms part of activities marking the Foundation’s 10th anniversary, noting that Adumasa has long struggled with access to potable water.

She explained that the water system is expected to improve hygiene in schools, with plans to extend supply to sanitation facilities to promote proper hygiene practices among pupils.

The Foundation also announced plans to construct a six-seater toilet facility for a junior high school at Ekumfi Nanaben.

Gifty Anti expressed gratitude to donors for supporting the project and called for continued assistance to expand similar interventions in underserved communities.
