The Krontihene of Odomase Number One, Osabarima Kwabena Yeboah Ababio, has called on Ghanaians to refrain from producing and sharing unsubstantiated and unimpactful content on social media.

According to him, the nature of content circulating on various platforms is not only unhelpful but also distorts history and contributes little to national development. He stressed that such practices are unproductive and do not serve the broader interest of the public.

Osabarima Kwabena Yeboah Ababio made the remarks when he attended a church service as Guest of Honour at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Mmerɛdane Emmanuel Congregation at Sunyani Airport Junction.

The event, held on Easter Sunday, formed part of the church’s cultural week celebration and was themed “Olden Day Christianity and Modern Day Christianity.”

He urged Christians and the general public to use social media responsibly by promoting truthful, educational, and development-oriented content that reflects positively on society.

Meanwhile, the Dormaa Akwansra Benkumhene, Nana Appiah Agyei Dankawoso, called on the church and its members to cultivate the habit of wearing African prints as a way of promoting local culture and tradition.

He noted that embracing African attire, especially during church services and special occasions, would not only preserve Ghanaian heritage but also stimulate economic growth. According to him, increased patronage of African prints would create employment opportunities for the youth, particularly those in the textile and fashion industries.

Nana Appiah Agyei Dankawoso emphasised that the church has a significant role to play in shaping societal values and should lead efforts to promote indigenous culture through dressing.

Delivering the sermon, the Presiding Pastor of the Mmerɛdane Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at Airport Junction in Sunyani, Rev. Daniel Agyemang, underscored the spiritual significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He explained that the resurrection represents a transformative power in the Christian faith, bringing new life, hope, and restoration to all aspects of life that may have “died,” including relationships, dreams, and one’s spiritual journey.

According to him, this spiritual renewal signifies that believers are called to live transformed lives, having been “buried” with Christ in death and raised with Him in glory.
