The Lordina Foundation has continued its long-standing tradition of supporting orphanages and underprivileged communities across Ghana, ensuring they are not left out during festive occasions such as Easter and Christmas.

Founded by the First Lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama, the initiative is part of the foundation’s decades-long commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable children and the less privileged in society, bringing joy and inclusion during special periods.
The latest donations benefited several institutions, including the Gambaga Witch Camp in the North East Region; Osu Children’s Home and Christ Faith Foster Home in Frafraha, Greater Accra Region; Bethesda and FrankMay Homes in the Bono East Region; and Anfaani and Tamale Children’s Home in the Northern Region.

Items donated included bags of rice, cooking oil, tin tomatoes, sugar, gari, gari mix, beverages, assorted drinks, bottled water, chocolate, toffees, tissue papers, sanitary pads, and baby diapers.

The Lordina Foundation, which has also supported numerous health facilities across the country, highlighted the pressing challenges faced by vulnerable populations, particularly in rural areas.

“As we move forward, it is to ensure that every donation, every act of kindness, creates waves of change—a change that is essential to rebuilding the country and moving it forward,” Mrs Mahama said, pledging the foundation’s commitment to scale up support to improve lives.

Pastor Kwame Sarpong Boateng, Chairman of the Lordina Foundation, presented the items and extended greetings and good wishes from the Founder and President to the management and staff of the orphanages, assuring them of the foundation’s continued support.

At Christ Faith Foster Home, Administrator Adu Amoako expressed gratitude for the foundation’s consistent assistance over the years, noting that the support has been instrumental in helping the home function effectively.

“The First Lady continued donating to the home even when her husband’s party was in opposition, always reaching out to the children. We pray that the good Lord blesses her and keeps her alive to continue this invaluable work for vulnerable children,” he said.

Similarly, at Osu Children’s Home, Supervisor Reindolf Dartey expressed appreciation for the foundation’s unwavering support in advancing the welfare of the children under their care.
