Patrons at the 2026 Adom Kwahu Easter turned up the heat at Obomeng as men took over the kitchen in a lively all-male cooking showdown.
The Lavonce Cooking Contest brought fun, laughter and a bit of chaos to Adom Park, as contestants ditched their comfort zones and stepped behind the pot to prove their skills.

In a refreshing twist, the contest featured community personalities paired with Adom presenters rather than professional chefs, adding humour to the experience as contestants navigated the heat of the kitchen under the watchful eyes of cheering spectators.

Four teams paired up to deliver a variety of Ghanaian dishes with the help of the female ‘sous chefs’.
The pairings saw Kuame Eugene, a Kwahu Bepong teacher, team up with Jerry Justice for plain rice and light soup, while presenter Maestro paired with Barrister Edmund for rice and vegetable stew.

Eric Oware Agyapong, also known as Alonso and an Assembly Member for Obomeng, paired with Kegewa to bring local flavour with waakye and stew, as Nana Kofi Onwona, the Nkawkaw Sanaahene, impressed with assorted beef jollof rice served with stew, alongside presenter OPD.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as patrons cheered on contestants, with moments of banter adding spice to the spectacle.

Powered by La Vonce Tomato Mix, the contest not only entertained but also reinforced the brand’s message of love and flavour at the heart of every meal.
