The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has assured victims of the recent school building collapse of government support and ongoing interventions.
Speaking before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, the Minister said the Ministry has been actively on the ground, conducting follow-ups and investigations while providing assistance to affected individuals.
She noted that the Ministry is fully aware of the challenges faced by victims and emphasised that the state will offer socio-psychological support to aid their recovery.
According to her, officials have already begun contacting and tracing some victims to their homes to ensure they receive the needed care and support.
Dr Lartey further urged victims to remain calm, assuring them that efforts are underway to reintegrate them into society and help them rebuild their lives.
