Matchday 27 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League wrapped up with a flurry of results across the country, as the title race and relegation battle both took fresh twists.

At the TNA Park on Friday, Medeama SC climbed back to the top of the table with a composed 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders. First-half strikes from Kelvin Obeng and Salim Adams ensured the Yellow and Mauve outfit secured maximum points and pole position.

Saturday’s lone fixture produced little excitement, as Vision FC and Basake Holy Stars played out a goalless draw at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Sunday, however, delivered the fireworks.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Swedru All Blacks. The visitors stunned the Phobians early, with Rudolf Mensah opening the scoring in the 22nd minute before Williams Dankwah doubled their advantage before the break. Hearts responded after halftime through Mawuli Wayo, who pulled one back in the 61st minute, before Frank Abora Duku completed the comeback 13 minutes later.

In Dormaa, Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko settled for a cagey goalless draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park.

Dreams FC were dominant on the road, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Hohoe United at the Hohoe Stadium. Adams Aminu opened the scoring in the 19th minute, while Seidu Suraj added a second just before halftime. Abdul Razak Salifu capped a convincing display with a third goal in the 79th minute.

Karela United also impressed, recording a 2-0 win over Bibiani GoldStars at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. Mohammed Awal and Felix Mortu both struck in the first half to hand the home side a comfortable victory.

At the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Nations FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Berekum Chelsea. After a quiet first half, Samuel Tenadu broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 62nd minute, but Brandon Antwi rescued a point for Nations late in the game.

Bechem United edged FC Samartex 2-1 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena. Samuel Okai and Yaw Annor gave the visitors a two-goal cushion before Akwasi Sarpong grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.

Young Apostles delivered one of the standout performances of the round, thrashing Heart of Lions 3-0 at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Claude Shooting Borrtey netted twice in the first half, before Richmond Opoku added a third after the break to seal a commanding win.

Following the round of matches, Medeama SC lead the standings, with Bibiani GoldStars, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak completing the top four. At the other end of the table, Berekum Chelsea, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders remain in the relegation zone as the season heads into its decisive stretch.
