Ghana coach Otto Addo has emphasised the need for precise execution as his Black Stars prepare to face Austria in a friendly clash.

The match takes place today at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 GMT.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Addo acknowledged the challenge posed by Ralf Rangnick’s side, describing the encounter as intense and highlighting the importance of sticking to their game plan.

“We now have to execute the plan perfectly. Like I said, it will be an intense game. This is what we’re looking forward to. They have a good team, but we will face them squarely,” the 50-year-old said.

“They have a good coach, a man who understands the game so well that we cannot take things lightly. We just have to get the job done here, and after the match, we will think about Germany,” Addo added.

Following the Vienna fixture, the Black Stars will travel to Stuttgart for a second friendly against Germany on Monday, March 30.

Both matches serve as key preparations for Ghana ahead of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled this summer across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
