The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has urged all constituencies in Ghana to prioritise internet access for their residents.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, he revealed that he has fulfilled a campaign promise by providing internet connectivity to communities within his constituency.

According to the MP, the initiative has expanded beyond the youth to include market women, with key institutions such as the education directorate already connected. Plans are also underway to extend the service to the district health directorate and the district assembly.

Residents can access the service by selecting his name on available networks, which he described as fast and reliable. He noted that it costs about GH₵770 to provide internet for a community for a month, stressing that the project is both affordable and scalable.

Expressing optimism for the future, Mr. Obeng said he hopes that by 2028, every part of his constituency will have internet access. He called on all constituencies across Ghana to make digital connectivity a priority for their communities.
