Minerals Commission mourns Blue Water Guard killed in line of duty

The Minerals Commission of Ghana has announced the death of one of its personnel, Abubakar Adda, who died in the line of duty.

In a public statement dated March 22, 2026, the Commission said the deceased, a Blue Water Guard, lost his life on March 19, 2026, at Birim North in the Eastern Region.

The Commission described Mr. Adda as a dedicated officer who served with commitment and courage in protecting Ghana’s natural resources.

His death, it noted, represents a significant loss not only to the institution but to the nation as a whole.

The Commission extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, and loved ones, assuring them of its support during this difficult period.

It added that further details surrounding the incident will be communicated in due course.
