Presidential Candidate of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Asana Nabla, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to appoint Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings to a top supervisory role over all ministers.
Speaking on PrimeMorning, she argued that Zanetor is capable of handling any ministry and should even be placed in charge of overseeing all ministers to ensure accountability.
“Zanetor should be in charge of all the ministers. If President Mahama truly wants transparency and accountability, he should appoint her as a ‘Minister of Ministers,’” she said.
Her comments come amid discussions about Zanetor possibly being considered for the Defence Minister position.
Drawing from her experience as a health administrator, Ms. Nabla explained that leadership should not be influenced by personal relationships or gestures such as gifts from subordinates.
She noted that although she maintains cordial relationships with those she supervises, she remains firm when dealing with challenging individuals, stressing that this same level of firmness is required in national leadership.
According to her, Zanetor possesses the discipline, firmness, and leadership qualities needed to ensure accountability and deliver results across government.
