Reverend Daniel Okyere Philix, Head Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church in Dzodze in the Volta Region, has made an appeal to financially well-off individuals in the Ahafo Region to support brilliant but needy students to secure a better future for them.
In an interview with Adom News at Nkaseim in the Ahafo Region, he emphasized the importance of identifying and supporting students who are both talented and in need, stating that such support is crucial for the development of their communities, the region, and the country as a whole.
Using his own experiences as an example, Reverend Philix shared that he grew up in a poor household in Nkaseim, and without the support he received from others, he would not have been able to realise his potential as an author.
This call to action came during the launch of his books. Additionally, the Sompahene of Nkaseim, Nana Yaw Sarpong, along with Paul Appiagyei Nyantakyi, who were supportive figures in Reverend Philix’s early life, echoed the need to assist brilliant but needy individuals, particularly those from remote areas in the region, to help them achieve their dreams.
They emphasized that support should not be limited to family members; anyone who is brilliant and in need should be considered for assistance to help nurture their talents.
