Residents of the Samsonkrom community in the Obuasi East Municipal of the Ashanti Region now have access to a new 40,000-liter community water system, commissioned to improve healthcare and address longstanding water challenges.
The project, implemented by AGA Ghana, aims to reduce pressure on existing water sources and enhance social development in the community.

In an interview with Adom News, Isaac K. Normanyo and Mavis Nana Yaa Kyei highlighted the importance of providing reliable water access for daily life and community wellbeing.
The system can store up to 40,000 liters of water, and there are plans to expand its reach to serve additional households in the area.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Akrokerrihemaa and Samsonkrom Assembly members commended AGA for their swift response and support.
“Water is essential in daily life, and this system will significantly benefit our community,” noted the Assembly member.

Ms. Kyei emphasized that the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to improving living conditions and supporting local communities in sustainable development.
