Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service at the Breman Fire Station have successfully completed an intensive training programme on fire investigation, evidence collection, and technical reporting.
The training, led by the Ashanti Regional Investigation Team focused on strengthening the technical capacity of officers to conduct thorough and legally sound fire investigations.

Key areas covered included the “outside-in” approach to identifying the origin of fires, analysing fire patterns, and adhering to strict chain of custody protocols to ensure evidence remains admissible in legal proceedings.
Participants also refined a three-tier reporting system designed to enhance the accuracy and credibility of investigation reports, while aligning with established technical frameworks for legal protection.

The initiative forms part of efforts to integrate firefighting with fire science, enabling the Service to generate better preventive data and improve overall response strategies.
Officials say the training underscores their commitment to professionalism, public safety, and effective fire risk management in communities.
