President John Dramani Mahama has assured that the 80-kilometre Jinijini–Sampa road will be completed by 2027.

He gave the assurance during an inspection of the road project in Berekum West as part of his ongoing Resetting Ghana Tour.

Addressing chiefs and residents, the President emphasised the importance of the road to the area, noting that it will significantly improve transportation and boost economic activities.

He explained that unlike previous construction efforts, which used bitumen and deteriorated after a few years, the new project will involve the use of asphalt to ensure durability.

According to him, the road is being designed as a long-term solution capable of withstanding wear and tear while delivering lasting benefits to the people.

President Mahama reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that meets the needs of communities across the country.
