Otto Addo has named his squad for Ghana national football team ahead of upcoming international friendlies against Austria national football team and Germany national football team as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars will first face Austria at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna on March 27 before travelling to Stuttgart to take on four-time world champions Germany on March 30.
Four new players headline the squad, with Derrick Luckassen, Patrick Pfeiffer, Marvin Senaya and Daniel Agyei all receiving their maiden call-ups.
Luckassen, a centre-back currently with Pafos FC, brings extensive European experience, having previously played for PSV Eindhoven, Hertha BSC and RSC Anderlecht. He was part of the Pafos side that clinched the Cypriot league title and also scored the club’s first goal in the UEFA Champions League.
Senaya, who plays for AJ Auxerre, has steadily progressed since making his professional debut in 2021, following spells with RC Strasbourg Alsace, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and FC Lausanne-Sport.
Forward Agyei, currently with Kocaelispor, developed his career in England, playing for sides including Burnley FC, Oxford United and Crewe Alexandra before his move to Turkey.
Pfeiffer, who features for SV Darmstadt 98, completes the list of debutants as Addo injects fresh energy into the squad.
The team also sees the return of key players including Inaki Williams, Ibrahim Sulemana, Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku.
