Member of Parliament for Assin South, John Ntim Fordjour, has called on the government to refund the GH¢220 application fee paid by applicants who were disqualified in what he described as a questionable recruitment exercise.
According to him, there should be a proper investigation into the recruitment process to determine what went wrong and ensure fairness for the affected applicants.
Mr. Fordjour argued that many of the applicants are unemployed youth who paid the application fee in the hope of securing jobs but were eventually disqualified through what he described as a complicated system.
“Government must refund the GH¢220 application fee paid for each form to all applicants who were disqualified. These are unemployed youth who are trying hard to find something to do,” he said.
The Assin South MP added that beyond the refund, authorities must conduct a thorough probe into the recruitment process to address concerns raised by the public before proceeding with the rest of the exercise.
