Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah says they are fully primed for Sunday’s Super Clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak, insisting the team has sharpened its edge ahead of the blockbuster encounter.

Kotoko will welcome Hearts to the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off set for 17:00 GMT, as the country’s most storied rivalry takes centre stage once again.

In an interview with Akoma FM, Amoah disclosed that preparations have been intense, with particular attention paid to improving the team’s attacking efficiency.

“We are preparing very well. I think we are working more on our goal scoring, and we also need to get more goals in that match,” Amoah said. “So, I think we are ready for Sunday.”

The forward also underlined the significance of the fixture, not only in terms of league points but in restoring belief among the club’s passionate fan base.

“Well, I think we need that point very seriously. It’s important for us to win back our supporters’ hearts, especially since we haven’t been consistent in our matches. This is a match our supporters truly need, so I believe securing the points is absolutely crucial,” he added.

Kotoko will head into the Super Clash under the interim leadership of Prince Yaw Owusu and Hamza Obeng following the resignation of Karim Zito.
