A Level 400 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ransford Asomani Amankwaa, has died under circumstances that remain unclear.

Speaking in an interview with Akwasi Nsiah, host of Badwam on Adom TV, the deceased’s father, Mr. Enoch Budu Amankwaa, said he was informed by university authorities in the early hours of Sunday that his son allegedly fell from his hostel and died.

However, the grieving family has raised serious doubts about this account, insisting the death may not have been accidental.

Mr. Amankwaa is calling for a thorough and transparent investigation to uncover the truth.

The case has been reported to the police, who have begun investigations to determine the exact cause of death.

The incident has renewed concerns about student safety on university campuses, particularly at KNUST. University authorities are yet to release a detailed official statement.
