Three arrested for robbery at Kwabenya

The Ghana Police Service, acting through the National Operations Directorate (NOD) Surveillance Unit, has arrested three individuals over their alleged involvement in an armed robbery at Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region.

The incident occurred on January 18, 2026, when two armed men stormed a private residence and held the occupant at gunpoint.

During the attack, the suspects reportedly stole two iPhone 17 Pro Max phones, a gold necklace, an Apple Watch, GH¢14,000 in cash, a car key, and US$300. The victim was also forced to log out of his iCloud account from one of the stolen phones to prevent tracking.

Following intelligence-led investigations, police arrested three suspects identified as Francis Amo, also known as Agogo; Anthony Boateng, alias Aisha Kojo; and Musah Ibrahim, popularly called Coded, who is believed to have acted as the receiver of the stolen items. All three suspects have reportedly admitted to their roles in the robbery.

So far, officers have recovered one iPhone 17 Pro Max, an Apple Watch, and a Samsung Fold phone believed to be linked to the crime. A search at Anthony Boateng’s residence also uncovered several weapons and implements, including a truncheon, short machete, knives, scissors, lighters, and a face shield.

The suspects remain in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations, as authorities continue efforts to recover the remaining stolen items and apprehend others involved in the crime.
