Tension flared in the Ho Central Constituency as some New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates openly expressed support for presidential aspirant Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, chanting “Adu Twum sika no, yɛn sa nkae” during interactions with Adom News.
The agitated delegates said the chant reflects their appreciation for Dr Adutwum’s contributions, particularly his performance in the education sector, which they insist remains fresh in their minds and should not be overlooked in discussions about the party’s future leadership.
However, some delegates also raised concerns over the alleged mishandling of funds intended for them. They claimed that money Dr Adutwum reportedly sent to support delegates was pocketed by some coordinators.
“We want Adu Twum to know that the money he sent to be given to us as delegates has been pocketed by some coordinators in their cars, so we have not received any money. We want him to call for his money from Ho Central,” some delegates alleged.
The development has heightened tensions within the constituency as the NPP’s internal processes continue ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
