Belgian Pro League club RAAL La Louvière have secured the services of Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Ashimeru arrives on loan from RSC Anderlecht, where he had fallen out of favour with the first team.

In an official statement, RAAL confirmed the signing of the 28-year-old WAFA SC academy graduate: “RAAL has secured its fourth winter signing! Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru (28 years old) joins us on loan for the next six months.

”The 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, who was trained at Red Bull Salzburg, has been playing for Anderlecht since 2021 after stints in Austria and at FC Sankt-Gallen.

”Wearing the purple and white jersey, he has made 129 first-team appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 6 assists.
Majeed has also been called up 12 times to the Ghanaian national team. Welcome to the Easi Arena, Majeed!”

The move gives RAAL an experienced and technically gifted player to aid their push for league survival.

For Ashimeru, it provides a timely chance to regain form, sharpen his skills, and stake his claim for a place in Ghana’s midfield ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With the global tournament on the horizon, the 12-time Ghana international will be looking to impress at his new club and boost his prospects on the international stage.
