Ghanaian Afrobeat and Highlife artist Muzic Mensah (born Lawrence Mensah) continues to solidify his case for recognition at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) as his 2025 release, “Ankwanoma,” posts impressive figures across digital platforms and traditional media.
Since its release, “Ankwanoma” has amassed over 470,000 combined streams across major platforms including Boomplay, Apple Music, Spotify, Audiomack, and YouTube, highlighting its widespread appeal.
Boomplay leads with over 400,000 streams, with the song peaking at No. 15 on the Top 100 Chart and earning a Top 10 Mid-Year ranking in Ghana, as well as a Top 20 Mid-Year ranking in Nigeria (2025).
The track has also gained strong traction on social media, achieving over 15,000 TikTok sound uses, alongside more than 20,000 Apple Music radio spins, reflecting solid editorial support and airplay.
Complementing its digital success, Muzic Mensah embarked on an extensive 20-stop media tour, covering radio, television, and podcast interviews across the country—further cementing “Ankwanoma” as one of the year’s most talked-about releases.
Produced and engineered by Y-Shart Beatz, with visuals directed by Mista Morgan and featuring Kwame Yogot, “Ankwanoma” blends Amapiano-infused Afrobeat and Highlife, delivering a contemporary sound rooted in Ghanaian musical identity.
