The Matchday 20 fixtures of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season produced a flurry of goals and decisive results across the country over the weekend.
On Saturday, Hearts of Oak cruised to a dominant 3-0 victory over Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium. Goals from Mawuli Wayo, Martin Karikari and Kelvin Osei Asibey capped a comfortable afternoon for the Phobians.
Sunday’s action opened at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where Bechem United edged Heart of Lions 1-0. Augustine Okrah’s early strike in the fourth minute proved decisive as the Hunters secured all three points at home.
At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea claimed a crucial 2-0 win against defending champions Bibiani GoldStars. Dominic Frimpong and Prince Anane found the net in either half, a result that eased the pressure on head coach Samuel Boadu.
Dreams FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Young Apostles at the Tuba AstroTurf. After a goalless first half, Kofi Kumah broke the deadlock in the 66th minute for the hosts, but Richmond Nsiah Coka responded six minutes later to earn a point for the visitors.
Hohoe United and Vision FC shared the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Sena Ati gave Hohoe an early lead in the fifth minute, but Vision turned the game around after the break through Mohammed Sam-An and Emmanuel Sanja. However, Lawson Bekui struck late to salvage a point for the home side.
Medeama SC continued their impressive form at the TNA Park with a 3-1 victory over Karela United. Kamaradini Mamudu opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Solomon Aboagye quickly equalised. Derrick Fordjour restored Medeama’s lead shortly after, and Mamudu completed his brace in the second half to secure the win.
At DUN’s Park, FC Samartex recorded a solid 2-0 win over Nations FC, with Christian Agyenim Boateng and Kwaku Owusu scoring in either half.
Swedru All Blacks suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Aduana FC at the Swedru Sports Stadium. Benjamin Tsivanyo was the hero for the Dormaa-based side, netting twice in the 26th and 66th minutes.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko delivered an emphatic 3-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium. Ndongani Samba Gilbani opened the scoring in the 30th minute before Albert Amoah, back at the club on loan, doubled the advantage after the break. Kwame Opoku later wrapped up the win.
After Matchday 20, Medeama SC, Asante Kotoko, Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak occupy the top four positions on the league table, while Basake Holy Stars, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders remain in the relegation zone.
