The Member of Parliament for Asunafo North in the Ahafo Region, Haruna Mohammed, has donated 20 hospital beds to the Ayomso and Akrodie Health Centres to help improve healthcare delivery.

Speaking during the presentation, the MP noted that the two facilities play a critical role in providing quality healthcare to residents but have, for several years, struggled with an acute shortage of beds.

He added that measures are being put in place to ensure the facilities, which have helped save many lives and continue to record high patronage, are adequately equipped to meet patients’ needs.

The Municipal Health Director for Asunafo North, Dr. Foster Nyarko, and the Physician Assistant at the Akrodie Health Centre, Samuel Yentibe, commended the MP for addressing a long-standing challenge that had negatively affected service delivery.

They said the additional beds would significantly enhance patient care and assured the MP that the items would be properly maintained, while appealing for continued support to further strengthen healthcare services in the municipality.
