Founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Apostle Dr. Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has criticised former Lawra MP and Senior Advisor to the Bawumia Campaign, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, over his comments on the role of prophecies in elections.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show, Owusu Bempah said he was unhappy with Karbo’s assertion that election outcomes are determined by polls rather than prophecies, and his claim that politicians supply poll data to prophets.

He described the remarks as a general attack on the prophetic ministry.

The cleric expressed surprise at Karbo’s comments, recalling that the former MP had previously visited his home with Sammy Awuku, during which he prophesied Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s victory in the 2016 presidential election.

“I wasn’t happy with the way Anthony Karbo spoke. If he claims he doesn’t believe in prophets, I am surprised because he has visited my house before with Sammi Awuku, and I prophesied that Akufo Addo would be president in 2016. They were very happy about this prophecy. Did he tell me to say what I said?

“Although he didn’t mention names, I am also a prophet. I have made several prophecies about politics that have all come to pass. He should name the prophets who get information from politicians for their prophecies. He spoke generally to all prophets, so he should mention a specific name if he is referring to me,” he stated.

Owusu Bempah insisted that the prophetic ministry is genuine and relevant, noting that several of his political prophecies have come to pass.

He challenged Karbo to mention the names of prophets he claims receive information from politicians.

He further stated that he would no longer pray for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and some members of the New Patriotic Party, citing what he described as repeated disrespect toward prophets.

He added that although he knows the outcome of future elections, he would only reveal the winner of the 2028 general elections when directed by God.

“The prophetic ministry is real and true. I will no longer pray for Bawumia and his people because they have disrespected us a lot. I know who will win the upcoming election, but I won’t disclose it yet. I am waiting for the national election in 2028 to reveal who will win. God has shown it to me. There are individuals in the NPP that I will not pray for, but if God leads me to do so, I have no choice. What Karbo said felt like a condemnation of the prophetic ministry,” he said.
