Dr Abu Sakara Foster has been elected as the new Kakulasewura of the Mankuma Traditional Area following consultations by elders of the Kakulase clan.

The decision came after the completion of the 40-day funeral rites for the late Kakulasewura, Mahama Madoji, in accordance with traditional customs.

Elders of the clan, led by Kakiasewura Mumuni Amadu, convened to nominate and select a qualified successor to the vacant stool.

After what the elders described as careful and unbiased consultations, Dr Abu Sakara Foster was appointed and formally elected as the next Kakulasewura.

Dr Abu Sakara Foster is the son of the late Sakara Bamutu and the grandson of the late Kakulasewura Bamutu Amanfo, making him a direct descendant of the royal lineage.

On Monday, January 19, 2026, he was officially recognised as Ligam Kakulasewura Dr Abu Sakara Foster of the Mankuma Traditional Area.

The elders expressed confidence in his leadership and called on members of the community to unite and support him, emphasising the need for peace and development in the area.
