Ghana’s Black Stars have maintained their position in the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings, remaining 72nd globally and 14th on the African continent.
The West African side’s ranking is unchanged from the end of 2025, according to Monday’s update.
Hosts Morocco, despite falling to Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations final, recorded a notable rise, climbing three places to eighth — their highest-ever ranking. It is the first time the Atlas Lions have broken into the top 10 since April 1998, with their rise pushing Belgium, Croatia, and Germany down one spot each.
AFCON champions Senegal also enjoyed a major boost, jumping seven places to 12th — a new record high for the Lions of Teranga following their continental triumph.
Spain remain at the top of world football, with Argentina, France, and England holding steady in the top four.
