Former Ghana international Asamoah Gyan has expressed confidence that Mohammed Kudus has the potential to develop into a world-class player.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward has become an influential figure for both club and country, despite experiencing difficulties following his transfer from West Ham United. Kudus has managed two goals in 19 appearances for Spurs so far.
In an interview with former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand, Gyan lauded Kudus’ progress and insisted the young star is on track to reach the highest level in the game.
“Mohammed Kudus is doing well,” he said.Â
“I wish him well because he is someone who is coming up in the ranks, and people should watch out. I always ask him to take good care of himself,” Gyan added.
Kudus is currently sidelined with an injury and is expected to remain out of action until April. As a result, he will miss Ghana’s friendly against Germany in March.
Despite the setback, he is still expected to be included in Ghana’s final squad for the 2026 World Cup.
