Akuapem North Member of Parliament, Sammi Awuku, has expressed confidence that Matthew Nyindam will emerge victorious in his ongoing legal battle, likening the situation to the case involving Ernest Kumi.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Awuku said he had listened to arguments from both sides in court and was impressed by the quality of submissions from Nyindam’s legal team, noting that they were well-supported by decided cases.
He added that, just as Ernest Kumi prevailed in a similar case, he believes Matthew Nyindam will also be vindicated.
“I pray that as we listen to the arguments from both sides in court, we refrain from making premature conclusions and instead await the judgment. If you examine the quality of the arguments presented by the counsel for Matthew Nyindam, who referenced various decided cases to support his points, and contrast that with the arguments made by the other party, the NDC, you will see the difference,” he said.
“I trust that the judges will perform their duties diligently. I am confident, and it is my hope and prayer, that Matthew Nyindam will achieve the same victory that Ernest Kumi was able to secure,” Awuku added.
